Heide AW Kaminski was born and raised in Germany. A year as an exchange student in Clinton, MI ultimately led to her permanent move to the USA in 1984.

She has three children, Sarah, Angela and Tommy and a step daughter, Nikki.

After the birth of her first child, Sarah in 1986 she started a career in daycare.

Overall she has 6 years of experience in public daycare and 6 years as the director of her own preschool, 4 years of working with mentally impaired adults and 2 years as a special education assistant teacher on a middle school.

Heide is also the contributor to many anthologies, the author of a children's picture book about ADHD, she writes on a regular basis for a local newspaper and a spiritual newsletter.
